About

Practical web analytics guides built by a practitioner, for practitioners. Every tutorial comes from hands-on experience with real tracking setups — not theory, not abstract advice.

About Julius

I am Julius, a web analytics consultant who specializes in Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager implementations. I have spent years helping businesses of all sizes — from startups to enterprise — set up tracking that actually works.

My background is in technical implementation. Before focusing on analytics, I worked in web development, which gave me a deep understanding of how data flows between websites, tag managers, and analytics platforms. This technical foundation is what makes my guides different: I do not just tell you what buttons to click — I explain what happens under the hood and why it matters.

What I Do

GA4 Implementation From basic setup to advanced e-commerce tracking with custom events and parameters
Tag Manager Architecture Container design, data layer strategy, trigger logic, and debugging workflows
Consent & Privacy GDPR-compliant tracking setups with Google Consent Mode v2 implementation
Tracking Audits Reviewing existing implementations, identifying gaps, and fixing data quality issues

Why This Blog Exists

Too many analytics guides stop at the surface. They show you the first three steps and skip the hard parts — the debugging, the edge cases, the things that break in production. I started this blog because I kept solving the same problems for clients and realized these solutions should be available to everyone.

Every article follows the same approach:

  1. Explain the concept — what it is and when you need it
  2. Walk through implementation — step by step, with real configuration examples
  3. Show how to verify — debugging is not optional, it is part of the process
  4. Cover edge cases — because real setups are never as clean as the documentation suggests

Topics I Cover

  • Google Analytics 4 setup, configuration, and custom event tracking
  • Google Tag Manager implementation and data layer architecture
  • E-commerce tracking across platforms
  • Form submission and conversion tracking
  • Data privacy, GDPR compliance, and cookie consent
  • Cross-domain tracking and server-side tagging
  • Analytics tool comparisons and migration guides

My Approach

I believe the best analytics setup is the one you can trust. That means every event fires correctly, every parameter carries the right value, and every consent choice is respected. If you cannot verify it, you should not rely on it.

I write the way I work: direct, specific, and focused on getting things done. No filler, no hype — just the implementation steps you need to build a tracking setup that works.
